Hello and welcome to
THE CURIOUS COUNSELLOR
If you have found your way here, then you most likely have something on your mind or a problem that is troubling you.
Good on you for taking the first brave step towards looking into those concerns.
Why choose a counsellors and not a psychologist?
Counsellors are qualified professionals. Psychologist have become the main mental health practitioner that people may be directed to for help with mental health issues, mostly referred by your GP.
But in many cases, a counsellor may be a better starting place. You do not need a GP referral to see a counsellor and they will usually be available and cheaper.
My counselling approach starts with listening to your concerns and making sure you are safe. Then we can work together on finding ways to understand more of what is going on for you.
I ask questions and listen to you in a way that is compassionate, non-judgmental, safe and confidential.
What concerns can I help you with?
Anxiety, depression, stress, relationships, work or financial stress, loss, grief and bereavement (including suicide), challenges with mental health, trauma (past or present), you may be the carer of someone else going through issues OR you’re just not feeling like yourself lately.
